here are many ways that government, business,
community organizations, educators and other
groups have shown their commitment to sustainability
here in Canada and internationally.
Examples include:
National Commitments
The Federal Government has committed to many of the
objectives outlined in international agreements
and has made its own commitments to promote and
support sustainability at the national level in Canada.
International Agreements
A growing number of international agreements relate
to sustainability and Canada has signed on to most of them.
They include international conventions and treaties
and Plans of Action from major international conferences.
