PROVINCIAL
Manitoba
Manitoba
has done a series of State of the Environment reports since 1991. The latest, State
of the Environment Report for Manitoba, 1997: Moving toward sustainable
development reporting, shows the attempt to evolve into sustainability
reporting.
British
Columbia
Fraser Basin Sustainability Indicators covers the basin from the mountains to the ocean. The report, developed by a multi-stakeholder council, covers a range of environment, economic and social issues.
Georgia Basin-Puget Sound Ecosystem Indicators Report covers a huge binational region from Puget Sound in the United States to the Georgia Basin in Canada. Its indicators cover a range of issues from population and air quality to garbage, chemicals and species at risk.
